Rear Suspension Inspection

SAFETY FIRST: Protective gloves and eyewear are recommended at this point.

All dust seals, bearings, and bushings should be replaced with new items if removed. Bearings and seals should be installed with their markings facing out.

Swingarm

Remove the two dust seals from each side of the swingarm's pivot.

Inspect the bushing for wear and damage.

If the bushings must be replaced measure the distance (5.5 mm) from the surface so the new bushings can be returned to the proper place. Use a press and an appropriate driver to drive out the old bushings and drive in the new ones.

Remove the collars from the swingarm bearings.
