Stands

SAFETY FIRST: Protective gloves and eyewear are recommended at this point.

To remove the side stand unhook the return spring from the frame and stand. Remove the nut and bolt and remove the side stand. Apply grease to the side stand pivot bolt when you reinstall it.

To remove the center stand remove the two center stand bolts with a socket.

Unhook the return spring from the center stand.

Remove the center stand from the frame. Remove the center stand pivot collars and inspect them for wear and corrosion. Coat the collars and pivot bolts in grease before reinstallation.
